Introduction
Johor marks the second office for Maersk Line in Malaysia that is designed with the aesthetic language of its headquarters. It was as though a corporate design standard had been formed.

THE CREATIVE PROCESS
Almost unintentionally, the look and feel of the second office had to be in line with the first. In handling a new language, some new ‘words’ were formed in this layout – the thin long entrance lined by the double layered glass wall which now encapsulates the “social pantry”. A lowered ceiling hovers above this route that draws one into its interior and the play of lowered ceilings against open ceiling areas continues to accentuate such small spaces. The office seats 73 of staff on height adjustable glass tables located in two banks of high ceiling areas. Air grilles and sprinkler pipework were realigned to give order to the services.
