Introduction
Commissioned by the same owners of Maersk Line, we were given a very interesting brief which called for the creation of 2 large social spaces which could be used for training functions as well as for social gatherings in addition to the
normal office slew of meeting rooms and hot desking areas.

THE CREATIVE PROCESS
The layout for Damco carefully segregates the public domain from the private working spaces of the shipping company. The ‘internal street’ which gives access to all the rooms, followed by the semi public hot desk zone, where a writing/scribble wall was meant to create interaction and then to the open plan landscape encapsulates a functional layering that worked well at a physical and aesthetic level. Classic materials of glass, steel, anodized aluminium, white finishes and black chairs have created this punchy yet professional looking interior.
